The Client
Merck, Sharpe and Dohme is one of the worlds largest medical companies.

My Role
Production Manager - Responsible for management and aggregation of client requirements and managing their implementation on a project basis through a team of 15 developers. Responsible for creating technical and functional specifications, as well as ensuring a high level of usability and consistency across the different sites, while helping to drive traffic and increase usage.

The Project
A series of 19 portals (25 countries, 18 languages) for medical professionals across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, built using a proprietary version of Tibco’s portal builder software.

The project was an upgrade of an existing portal based on an early version of Tibco Portal builder. This made the project significantly more challenging since the site needed to be upgraded and the directory of users migrated seemlessly without any significant loss of service for the end user.

The Outcome
The Portal was successfully launched and has seen repeat usaged statistics improve dramatically as a result.
